I met him in Trondheim when we played over there. Odd character but a nice fella.

When Tatters wrote his Chelsea Chat spitclom Reginald Heath Roald was one of the characters ..... as were Perillo and me (Dr Mordechai Gonsky). It was a very funny series of posts about a bunch of losers going to the games and having a series of adventures and mishaps. Unfortunarely I'm not sure Tatters is still with us. He was a very funny guy.

Today the day we may well hear that Conor is officially an Atletico Madrid ... ..... player reminds me of my last exhange with him (Roald) where in a thread on the subject of Conor I had said the ownership had tried to sell him at the end of last season and were after selling him again this season. Out of the blue sprang his 4 word reply to me "You Know Fark All"

Having myself been on this site since 1998 I feel he was omnipresent a sort of lurking character ready to pop out at any moment with a dismissive word or two.

Very sad to hear about Roald. Where others (self included) on here go up ..... and down with footballing bipolar syndrome Roald always seemed to be on some kind of mad assertive more or less constant level. Others might overdo the positive value of a single win or moan eternally that the club was in its obvious death-throes Roald ploughed through inexorably. Will be missed on here. A blue forever.
