Following on from the posts this morning - it does appear that Maria . (Village Girl from here) passed away on Monday.

Another chatter had a message from Maria's aunt to confirm.

Gutted doesn't even come close. I knew her well we always kept in touch . (though mostly on facebook in recent years after she moved back home) favourite ever photo and her favourite phrase.

I have had a lot of conversavations with her on facebook over the years.. She lost her mum only a month ago and Maria was in poor condition herself.

Not posted here in years but felt this was the place to pay my respects to Maria. as this was where I first met her. Been in shock all day like most people who knew her. What a lovely endearing and funny girl she was and she was so kind to my kids when they were only little coming to the bridge with me. Also remember a great evening on here with her as we both were cheering for Lordi in the Eurovision tomtit Contest and will miss her saying "Hello dahhhhllllliiiing!!" to everyone. So so sad ;(
